I left Pontesbury early, just to get out of the house. The A488 was flat and boring, which suited me fine after a week of staring at cloud infrastructure. Minsterley was a blip on the map, and I barely noticed it until I was past it.

The B4499 and B4386 were narrow, but I kept my hands steady. Caersws felt like a pause in the logic, a clean stop before the terrain changed. I didn't linger, just refueled the bike and my patience, then headed for the A470.

The A470 is a proper ride, long and sweeping with a decent rhythm. Glantwymyn was quiet, just a marker on the way. The B4404 dropped me toward the coast, and the A493 finally gave me the twisties I was looking for. It was satisfying, in a technical sense.

Aberdyfi was the goal, so I stopped and looked at nothing in particular. The return via Arthog and the A458 back through Welshpool was less interesting, mostly a process of deletion. I got home, shut the garage door, and called it a day.
