I left Pontesbury on the A488, heading straight for Minsterley. It was a short, sharp burst of speed before the B4499 swallowed the road up. The Stiperstones were there, quiet and hard, reminding me exactly why I prefer this loop to any straight line.

The B4386 ran through Chirbury with a loose, lazy character that let the CB1000GT settle into its rhythm. Then the A490 opened up toward Ceri. It was a clean, uneventful stretch where the only thing moving faster than the bike was my own need to be done.

Coming back down the A489, the route felt distinct enough to keep the mind clear. I took the B4368 past Clun and Bishop's Castle. The turn of the day was simple: out, round, and home, with no surprises to break the pattern.

It is the run I do when the noise in my head gets too loud. A clean loop to flush the cache and get back to zero. No heroics, just the road doing what it does.
